Maddox and Chantilly Started Gymnastics

On Monday, Maddox and Chantilly started their first gym class! They LOVED it! Maddox is in the 2 year old mom and tot class and Tilly is in the 3 year old class! Aaron had the day off, so he did the first day with Maddox! I was so lucky to get them in the classes at the same time! The video goes back and forth between Maddox and Chantilly! They were sooooo cute and Tilly loved her pink leotard! And Maddox could hardly contain himself he had so much fun! We can't wait for next week!

Christmas

We spent our Christmas weekend at Gpa and Gma Poultons! We wrote Santa a letter to take our presents to their house and the jolly ole elf did! On Christmas Eve, we had a delicious Poulton tradition of shrimp gumbo for dinner! Then, everyone got to open one present! The kids each got a pillow pet: Tilly, a unicorn, and Maddox, a BYU cougar! Of course, Maddox tried to ride his as soon as it was opened!

Christmas morning! We ate the delicious Little tradition of our favorite name-brand cereal!
Church was at 9am! So we had to postpone present-opening until after!
The kiddos excited for presents!
I put a picture of their face on each of their presents so they would know exactly what was theirs! Maddox got lots! He got a man Barbie (Flynn Ryder from Tangled) because he always tries to play with Tilly's Barbies, guy figurines and toys for the guys to ride, and his favorite, a pull-string Woody doll that knows when his hat is off or put back on. For the first hour he went around taking off and putting on Woody's hat! "Oh no, my hats gone!" "A cowboy without a hat is like a yodel without a hey-hee-hoo!" He loves his Woody!
Chantilly got lots too! She got 5 princess Barbies, her favorite is "Punzel" to go with Mad's Flynn Ryder! She also got a jewelry box with jewelry to dress up with, pretend lipstick, nail polish and perfume! It makes a princess noise every time it opens! And of course, she got a pull-string Jessie doll! The jewelry box turned out to be a big hit for her! They both also got a set of "forses" (horses) and a Mega Bloks set!
That afternoon, the cousins came over for some fun and games! This was an attempt at the nativity that did not work out so well! Poor baby Jesus is on the ground being poked by shepherd Chance's cane!
We went around and told of our most memorable Christmas! Mine was when we were forced to go Christmas caroling with all my siblings and my Dad to his meals-on-wheels people he delivered to every week. It was torturous at the time, but nice to see how much it meant to those people. Another memorable one was when we wrapped our own presents in a garbage bag with our names on them because my mom had to work that night! So funny!

We love the Christmas season! Salt Lake City has beautiful lights to look at! One of our favorite things is to shop around the Gateway outdoor mall, though we rarely buy anything! It has been absolutely freezing lately with no snow! We're hoping for a White Christmas, but I think the forecast says otherwise this year!

We were also able to go to Temple Square twice! The first time we went was with the Bellows! It was crazy crowded! The kids loved that we got to ride the "train,"also known as Trax, the city light rail!

We were able to go back to Temple Square during the day where is was so much more peaceful and serene on the grounds! We saw the nativity scenes and the beautiful statue of Jesus Christ. It is so easy to forget the reason for season: Jesus. It was nice to really think about the Savior's birth and talk about it with our kids looking at the nativity scenes! I am so grateful for our Savior, the real Reason for the Season!

We had a huge birthday weekend! Chantilly turned 3 on Friday and Maddox turned 2 on Sunday! We did the big birthday party and fun on Friday because Aaron had drill Sat. and Sun. We started out the day with unlimited french toast at Kneaders! We came back home to open presents and give them their BIG gift: a train table and train set! They each got a special train. Maddox got a blue Thomas train and Tilly got the purplish pink Rosie train! They love it!
Tilly got to open the train set! Maddox was totally satisfied playing with his train! Who needs tracks, anyway?
Later, we went swimming at an indoor pool where Mad froze the whole time! Tilly loved it!

A Dalmation

To start off our Halloween, we went to the church Halloween party and had a blast. Unfortunately, the pictures of that night are trapped on my phone. Aaron and Uncle Tom were scary zombies with bloody grey faces, Alba, Tom's girlfriend, was my usual costume of Pebbles, red hair and all, and I was Maid Marion. After wearing my costume every year since it was made when I was 16, it was about time for a change! On the 31st, we went trick or treating at good ol' Walmart (picture above) and then around Grandpa and Grandma's neighborhood that evening! We had a blast seeing all the other costumes! Maddox instantly opened up lollipops whenever he got them! They are my kids favorite! He was a very thirsty baby by the time we were done!

After Disneyland, we went up to stay with my Mom for the month of September. Aaron would be traveling all month, so we decided to hang with the H! Here are a few things we did:

It was such a clear day... until we starting driving on the boat. The fog rolled in soooo thick! We couldn't even see the Golden Gate Bridge until we were just under it!

Almost tubing! One second after this picture was taken, my weight flipped us and the kids went head first into the lake! They were crying hysterically and that ended our tubing for the day!

Fun Happenings Around Town

Thanksgiving Point Children's Discovery Garden! They loved smelling all of the flowers and playing with the different activities along the way! The Sandbox was a hit!

So was the Noah's Ark water feature! Tilly friend, Timmy, and his mom joined us!
It almost looks like she has a swim suit on with those tan lins!

Bluffdale Days with booths, game, and activities! My kids are obsessed with horses!

Their new favorite movie is Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, or what Chantilly calls it: "Forsy Foovie" (Horsey Movie)
They would only go in the bounce house when all the other kids got out!
When big kids came in, they just layed there and watched, letting the big kids bounce them! They were laughing hysterically, loving it!

These 2 are so brave! They both love climbing up the stairs and ladder and jumping in all by themselves, over and over again, holding their breath under water, and trying to do their ice cream scoops with their arms and kick kick kick with their feet!

Yellowstone: Fullmer Family Reunion

At the end of July, Aaron's mom's family has a reunion with all 8 siblings and families every 2 years, equals around 130 people! This year it was in Island Park, ID in some sweet cabins. It was beautiful and super fun, and Yellowstone National Park was only 20 minutes away! The first day, we left our house at 4:30am to make it up their early enough to do activities! The boys went golfing and the girls went on a day trip around Yellowstone! Our first siting was a family of elk sun bathing on a little island in this river. One elk got like 20 feet away from the crowd of people, then trudged through the water to get to his family!

Then, we headed to Geyser Basin! The geysers sure are stinky! We walked around the basin along the path behind the kids way down there! It was a beautiful day! Chantilly loved giving her brother a hand!

On our way from our cabin to the main cabin, we came upon two mooses? Meeses? Moose? eating grass right off the road! They were huge with big racks!

We made a trip to the Canyons in Yellowstone. We had a nice, yet difficult hike to see beautiful waterfalls!

We had to go down like 350 stairs to get to the viewing platform. Grandma did sooooo awesome!

Our best find this season was JUMBO Marshmallows at Walmart!

Pioneer Day Weekend

For Pioneer Day, Aaron was able to do the color guard at the Real Salt Lake Vs San Jose Earthquakes soccer game! We love going to these games with our kids and getting them excited about sports!

Tilly and Maddox entertained themselves with foam hands and wrist bands, pretending they were in "jail" in handcuffs!
After we won the game, everyone was able to go on the field and watch an awesome fireworks show! Chantilly loved them of course! Maddox, not so much! He layed on my chest and I covered his ears the whole time!

Kennecott Copper Mine

Jessica and Dan came to Utah and I tagged along when they went to the Kennecott Copper Mine in the Salt Lake Valley. It is pretty huge when you actually get on the edge looking down into the pit!

Interesting Info:
Every day, Kennecott Utah Copper mines about 150,000 tons of copper ore and 330,000 tons of overburden. The ore containing copper, gold, silver and molybdenum is hauled and deposited in the in-pit crusher and sent to the Copperton Concentrator.

From the mine, ore is transported on a five-mile conveyor and stockpiled at the Copperton Concentrator. There the ore is ground into fine particles. The smaller pieces are then combined with air, water and chemical reagents to separate the valuable minerals from the waste rock. The mineral bearing concentrate is then transported to the smelter through a pipeline.

This smelter is located on I-80 west of Salt Lake. It is that humongous smoke stack you see at the point of the mountain heading west!

These tires are on the truck that haul the ore in and out of the mine. Each one tires costs $25,000! I'd hate to pop one of those babies!

Our New House

For those of you who didn't know, we finally moved out of my in-laws house in Cedar Hills! We are now living in a soon-to-be cute 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom town home with a one car garage and small backyard in Bluffdale, UT! It is a very central location, only a few minutes from Aaron's job in Draper! When people hear I live in Bluffdale, they either ask about the prison or the polygamists! We live just down the street from a polygamist compound! Cool, huh! And no, Mormons are not polygamists! The prison isn't too far either! We love it!
(By the way, this post is mostly for Oma, who wanted pictures of our new house!)

You walk in the front door and to your left is a half bath. The door on the right leads to the garage and the door on the left is storage under the stairs.
Then, it opens into the disastrous living room! We haven't even been here 2 weeks, so don't judge me! Our first piece of furniture, our couch, arrived yesterday! Our backs and bums are thankful for that!
Then, the kitchen! Yes, I know the red glass candle holders are hideous like that, but I had to get them out of the way because two have already shattered to pieces around us clumsies!
Then, the dining room! Two benches for the table will be coming in two weeks! We just bought the chairs the other day because we were sick of sitting on stools eating meals at the princess table with Mad and Tilly!
Through the dining room sliding glass door is the backyard! It is a pretty good size! It is as much yard as we can take care of! The best part is that we have a gate going through the back and just behind the fence is a playground (if you can see it in the distance on your left)!
Our TV stand also comes in two weeks! The TV has lots of cute hand and fingerprints all over! That is all for the first level! The tour continues upstairs!
At the top of the stairs in the double doors is our brand new washer and dryer! I LOVE THEM! To the right is our master bedroom with bathroom and walk-in closet! Total disaster area right now! Our bedroom set comes in 2 weeks as well! To the left of the laundry is the kid's bathroom! To the left of that are the kids' rooms! There is a little niche to the left of the stairs for a desk which will be nice if we ever get one!

Grandma Billie's Funeral

Grandma Billie passed away in May and I was able to go to her funeral in Lyman, WY with my Dad. Billie was my Dad's stepmom. They were actually closer in age than she and my Grandpa! My Grandpa died in December, so now they are together in heaven!
They wanted all of the grandchildren to put their handprints on the coffin! Mine are yellow on the left end! They don't really look like hands, though!

A lot of my cousins came, some of whom I can't remember ever meeting because I was so little at the time! I only have like 60 cousin on this one side!

This is my dad's sister, Janet, and a few from her family and my Dad and I at a luncheon following the funeral and burial.

1st Lieutenant

While on his annual training in Germany, Aaron got promoted! Not by just anyone, but by a 2 star general! Cool, huh! He is now a 1st Lieutenant! We are so proud of you my love!

The day before Easter Sunday, we went to the city of Cedar Hills Easter egg hunt! I was told by a friend to get there on time because everything is gone within the first 5 minutes. This was true! I ran from the car to the park with the two boos in my arms and we got there while they were doing the 10 second countdown! Perfect timing!

My kids got a few pieces of candy, mostly the choking hazard hard candy!

It took Maddox a minute to figure out what to do!

Tilly got the concept of snatching the candy right away! She has a keen sense for finding candy! Aunt Alicia spent the day with us (she is on the left in the pinkish sweater)!
And of course we had to take a picture with the Easter Bunny! Chantilly was terrified of him and rightfully so! With all her squirming, this was the best shot we got!

I hadn't planned on putting Chantilly in a real bed for a while. I felt no need to rush getting her out of her crib because we have plenty of cribs to go around! So, I went to Deseret Industries one day to drop off some stuff and found this awesome Cinderella toddler bed for $15! I contemplated buying it for 1/2 hour! Where would I ever find a princess bed for this price ever again? Probably never! So, I bought it and Tilly and Mad love it! Thankfully, it only took her one night to adjust to her new-found freedom! I love having her in a real bed and she loves showing it off to everyone who comes over!

For Christmas, we received lift tickets to Canyons ski resort in Park City! It was Aaron's first time of the season and my first time since having Chantilly!

Maddox is getting so old! He walks, he talks, he is adorable! He weighs almost 22 lbs and is 31 inches tall, I believe! Tall and skinny they say! With he and Tilly being so attached to their mommy, I am carrying almost 45 lbs of babies at any given time!

He says quite a few words: grandpa, grandma, NO, YA, sit down, get down, and BALL are some of his favorites. He answers correctly to yes and no questions! "Do you want to eat?" He says "Ya!" "Are you poopy?" "Ya!" He knows just what he wants and needs and lets me know perfectly! And he is just as cuddly as ever!I love our little rookie!

We were able to go to the first game of the season for the Real Salt Lake soccer team! They played the LA Galaxy and won! The military and their family member got to open and hold a huge American flag on the field at the beginning of the game! It was freezing and misty the whole game, but way fun!

For the 3 day weekend in February, I went to Georgia to visit my long lost husband! We hadn't seen each other since New Years, so it was about time! Aaron took me all over Augusta! It didn't take long to see mostly everything! We went to the Savannah River, the border between Georgia and South Carolina. It looked good enough for a swim! It was the most beautiful day: sunny, 70 degrees, and a light breeze, with my main squeeze by my side!

We were lucky enough to see this really young couple getting married! Both were comfy wearing slippers.
Reunited at last!

We also drove to Charleston, SC and went to the Isle of Palms! It was another gorgeous day!We loved looking for shells for the kids! Aaron found two whole sand dollars, alive!

We went to a set of ponds on the SC side of the river and went for a walk! There was a sign that said alligators may live in the area! We thought, yeah right! I doubt it!
Then, Aaron spotted one, and then another! There were two gators just sitting in the weeds! Who would have thought?

We also got the chance to go see our friend, Anitra, in SC and be at the blessing of her new baby! It was really special! I had the best trip, but I can tell you that we won't be moving to Georgia or South Carolina any time soon, unless it's on the Savannah River in one of those amazing mansions on the SC side!

Washington State

A few days after my birthday, my mom, my kids and I headed to Washington to see my extended family! It was awesome seeing everybody! The first day, we walked around Seattle and went to Pike's Place Market. We also drove around the University of Washington and saw my mom's old sorority.

The kids woke up extremely early everyday. Tilly passed out sitting up on the couch at 10:30 in the morning.

For the weekend, we went to Aunt Kim's amazing cabin surrounded in snow. We are pictured with my cousin Emily.

I pulled Maddox around on the sled and had Tilly try it out! She loved it, as you can tell!

The Oakland Zoo

The weather in the Bay has been pretty damp and freezing the last few days! With a change of weather, on this particularly gorgeous day, we decided to head to The Oakland Zoo! Oma, Jessa-Dan, Renee, me, and all the babies went! Chantilly really really wanted to see the "emelents" (elephants)!
Fun Fact: Did you know that humans and chimpanzees have more similar DNA than Asian elephants have to African elephants? It is true!

Maddox could not stop pointed and yelling to the gondola ride above our heads! He loved it! He was such a good sport all day, only having a 10 minute nap before we left for the zoo!

These 2 friends loved every minute together!
We rode the train to the Outback to look at the kangaroos and emus! From the train, we had an amazing view of the bay from the zoo!
Chantilly was too short to ride every ride but one! She looked on with Oma as Max got to ride on the cars!
Lucky for me, I got to take her on the carousel! She had to ride on the "zeba!" After she was done riding it with Oma for her second time, she game him (the zebra) a kiss goodbye!
We had a blast at the zoo! Beautiful day! Awesome family! Fabulous time!
On the way home, we grabbed some delicious Fenton's ice cream! Of course I got my Black and Tan! Delish!

No more pacifier, sleeps in a toddler bed, talks amazingly for a 2 year old, potty trained, puts her boots on all by herself, stills loves the color yellow, obsessed with Princess Aurora, constantly asks me to put Sleeping Beauty's Once Upon a Dream song on so we can dance, so I made it my ringtone!

Walks with one finger, says "no," "ya," "down," and "done," interchanges crawling and scooting, loves Oma's dog Sadie, loves vanilla almond milk, and loves Chantilly!

New Years

For New Years, my family went to a cabin in Tahoe! It snowed 2+ feet the first 2 days we were there! The snowbanks along the roads were so tall! In places they were like 12 feet tall! I love the Sierras! They are beautiful! We couldn't helping thinking what pioneers did way back when!

Maddox was a good sport in the freezing cold! He didn't last long in the walker, or sitting in the snow, or in the stroller! It was mucho cold!
Proof the mommy was there! Behind us, Dan and Aaron built a sledding hill!
These 2 get along so well! Tilly loves her Maxxy!
These 2 love each other so much! They are so silly! Tilly's new thing is to ride Maddox like a horse! He laughs hysterically! No one can make him laugh like Tilly can!
Aaron and Tilly loved sledding down the drive-ways of the neighbors house!
Sadly, Aaron left New Years day! 2.5 months and we will be together again!

Christmas 2010

We loved our Christmas in California! Aaron flew into SFO and I immediately took him to San Francisco to stay the night in the Sir Francis Drake Hotel overlooking Union Square, the hotel we stayed in the night we were married! After Aaron being gone in Georgia, we needed some time to ourselves and to do some Christmas shopping!

Christmas Eve, we had dinner at Jessica's house! We had a fun evening, with delicious food, of course! The best part of the evening was the Nativity reenacted. Max was Joseph, Chantilly was Mary, Tom was a shepherd, I think, and of course the cute couple each had to have a baby Jesus, so everyone got along great!

Maddox played the reindeer! We even sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and blew out candles on his cakes!
On Christmas day, we opened presents, of course! Aaron got clothes and I got a hair straightener!
It was a very Princess Christmas for Tilly! She probably got 10 princesses dolls in various forms and sizes! Aurora is her favorite!
Maddox loved the crawler ball for the first few minutes and hasn't paid much attention to it since! He loved the wrapping paper more! Good thing I only got him one gift!
Chantilly especially loves the new tea party set Oma has at her house! She is so lucky! Her other Grandma has the same set waiting for her in Utah!

"Night Night on the Train"

A last minute decision,we headed off to California for Christmas this year! Aaron would meet us there! I decided to take the train since it was cheaper than flying! Tom bought a seat and accompanied the kids and I. I bought a little room and we had a blast! We left at almost midnight and arrived the next evening around 8. The train is a form of transportation I had never thought of taking before!

Our room was significantly smaller than what I expected. It was two seats facing each other that slid together to make the bottom bed Maddox is standing on. The top bed folded down above our heads. But it was perfect for the 3 of us! Tom took a nap in the top bed and had to curl up to fit! The rooms are meant for women my size! Anyone bigger might be miserable! The best part about buying a room was that all our meals were free!

We were delayed four hours because it looked like this a lot of the ride! If you look closely, you can see Donner Lake amidst the snow! The Sierras were beautiful, even through the blizzard!

Chantilly watched her baby Jesus movie like 5 times, in addition to a few others! They loved looking out the window, even at 4 in the morning!
The best part was having a newly potty trained 2 yr old, running to the potty every five seconds to a bathroom that gets dirtier and dirtier every hour with dimensions that are like 1 ft by ft, holding my one yr old while holding the 2 yr old on the potty as the room is shaking, running out of wipes half way through Nevada, Maddox and Tilly going through every outfit I brought, poop on each outfit! They looked like this picture above by the end of the trip! I did my best getting the crap off their clothes! Yes, they had to wear the least poopiest outfit to get off the train! It was great and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Every time Tilly sees a train, she always says, "Night night on the train," because she remembers when we went night night on the train!

The Pool

My babes and I love to go swimming at an awesome indoor pool in Lehi! It is huge! The only downside to this pool is that they don't allow floaties because they aren't safe because they can deflate. I don't really think these life jackets are much safer. They get stuck on their backs and their tummies and don't have the balance without floaties. Plus they practically choke them when in the water. Besides that, its super fun in the 89 degree water, even when it is 30 degrees outside!

I sat Maddox at the edge of the pool entrance and 10 seconds later water shot up all around him and I hear screaming! They turned on the water in the top picture just in time to get Maddox soaked and he was bitter about for a few seconds and got over it! What a good sport!

Then, they took you to another hospital to get better. There, you were hooked to machines that breathed for you, with wires, tubes, and lines attached all over your little body. I had to wait 3 days to see you. You were well worth the wait!

I am so thankful for my family! I have the best kids in the world, hands down! Practically perfect in every way! It doesn't hurt that they are beautiful, as well! We had an awesome Thanksgiving at Jenn's house! Aaron flew in for a quick 4 day trip to spend it with us! I am thankful that he was here with us!

We took advantage of Black Friday! We went to our Walmart in Cedar Hills at 9am, which was hardly busy. We picked up a few cool items for our kids. We got little cushy chairs with pull out sleeping bags. They love to lounge in them!
Of course, Chantilly had to get the Disney Princess chair!
We also got 2 tables and 4 chairs for the kids. You can draw all over them with dry erase markers and it comes right off! Of course, Chantilly's is Disney Princess and Maddox's is the movie Cars! About 1 minute after the above picture was taken Chantilly threw up! It was lovely.
After our shopping spree, we went to the Fullmer Thanksgiving and had a full other meal with all the works!
The kids had fun playing games, especially dodge ball. Chantilly got ran over and did not like that very much!
The older folks played the Train Game, of course.
Aaron picked out his anniversary gift: Band Hero! Thank you, Black Friday!

A Week at the Carr's

I got the pleasure of babysitting my niece and 3 nephews for 8 days! It was a lot of work and very stressful breaking up fights, wiping tears, and cleaning up messes! But, we all survived! Here's a few things we did to pass the time:

Grocery run to Smith's, several times. I think we went through 10+ bananas a day, with Javier eating one every time he walked by them. I kept finding random banana peels all over the house!
Smoking Q-tips! It takes the edge off!
Trying so hard to crawl!

"Hello, Daddy!" After a story time trip to the library, Tilly pretended to talk to her daddy on her pretend phone!
Trafalga! All the kids wanted to do was play arcade games!
Everyone actually getting along!
We went up to Grandpa and Grandma's house for the weekend! The kids went to Grandma's Donut College, played video games, went to Trafalga again, and put on a puppet show with costumes! Maddox was a soldier and Tilly was a dragon, GGGGRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Maybe next year this will be her Halloween costume!

Halloween

Since Halloween falls on Sunday this year, our festivities were Friday and Saturday! Friday night, Tilly, dressed as a clown, and I went to the ward Halloween party! It was packed! They had tons of games and activities! Tilly went fishing and caught some stickers! Stickers are her favorite thing these days! They had probably 15 dozen cupcakes to win in the cake walk!

Our class clown, playing her new present: a $2 piano from DI! I didn't even have to replace the batteries! What a steal! One kid's junk is another kid's early birthday present!
On Saturday, the 3 of us met up with "Ashy" and Nate at West Jordan's Gardner Village. It was all decked out in Halloween decorations. They had fake scary, huge witches everywhere!

Since all of the Poulton siblings were in town, we decided to head to the Hogle Zoo in SLC. The kids and I had never been, so it was a treat! Tilly loves to see "anmalls" (animals)! We saw "effalens" (elephants), and "muckeys" (monkeys)! She loved it!

Nate and Ashliegh's Wedding

Ashliegh and Nate Baldwin got married Oct. 9 in the Salt Lake City temple! It was a beautiful sealing and the pair looked gorgeous!

He is 10 months old already! He rolls and rolls! No crawling yet, but he can walk around furniture.

He loves to stand and walk around in his walker!

He just started to do the push toy! Big step towards walking, Mad! And, he has 7 daggers for teeth! He eats all real food now!

Chill is 22 months! She loves to wear other people's shoes and push her baby stroller!
She loves the animals at the Thanksgiving Point farm and has already ridden a pony twice!
She's got style!

Utah State Fair

I had never heard much about the Utah State Fair, so we decided to go this year! Today, on 9/11, all military got in free! We love the many perks of being in the Army! It's on the west side of Salt Lake City, in the more ghetto area. This was no Alameda County Fair! It was one of the first times that I have been a little nervous in Utah and was highly guarding our belongings! The fair had some sketchy people! Besides the fair being ghetto and a bit trashy, we had a blast getting out! Tilly and Aaron loved the seal show! I am not big on animals, but I felt so bad for the seals on parade like that! Maybe because Aaron made me watch a show about dolphins and how sad they are in captivity at places like Sea World and when they aren't they are slaughtered by the thousands in Japan! The sea is stained red! Off the subject, back to the fair!

On to more sad animals in captivity: Tilly got to ride a pony! They are attached to a wheel that they walk around all day long! The ponies looked sad! Tilly was a little nervous to ride the horsey!

She did great and loved it, not letting go of my hand for any reason!

She loved the sheep because her favorite book is "Russell the Sheep!" She kept calling them "Russow!"

Of course we had to get some cotton candy, our favorite!

We were 30 seconds away from getting a parking ticket! Thank goodness the officer was a lady who thought our kids were adorable! Who knew you had to park 20 feet from a stop sign, even when there is no red curb! She said they don't do red curbs here because you can't see it when it snows! Now we know GI Joe!

Bedtime Routine

Before bed, Maddox and Chantilly get to pick out 3 stickers each and put them in their sticker books! Tilly loves to pick out which stickers they will each get! Without fail, she always picks the yellow smiley face sticker! She is working on her colors and has "lellow" down perfectly! That's my smarty pants!

One day Maddox will be interested in his sticker book, but he is usually more interested in sleep!

I love how babies are so happy in the morning, refreshed after a long 11 or so hours of sleep! Maddox wakes up first and loves going into Chantilly's room to see her when she wakes! They give each other the biggest smiles and Tilly yells, "Maddox!" or "Buddy!" They love to roll around in her bed listening to the music from the mobile!

Maddox is always smiling, even with the super bright flash!

Dear Maddox,

Today you are 9 months old! You are my sweet lovey dovey boy! You love to cuddle and your favorite place to be is right on mommy's hip! You could sit there all day! You are getting huge! You have 4 teeth and eat lots of baby food! You cannot crawl yet, but you are quite the roller!

Things you love: laughing with/at your silly sister, sticking out your tongue, standing, swimming, talking, your exersaucer, and your jumper!
Things you do not love: bottles, pacifiers, kid's high pitch screaming, and keeping your shoes on!

You are so much fun and you give the world's best smiles! We are so blessed to have you and your sister in our family!

Looks like Aaron won't have to work at Walmart for a while! He got a Gold Bar Recruiting position at UVU for all of September. Then, at the end of October, he heads to Fort Gordon, GA until mid-March for his Officer Basic Course. He heads to Germany for 3 weeks right after that. Hopefully, it will be a fast 6 months because we will miss him so much! We are so proud of Aaron and all of his hard work! He is the best husband/daddy a family could ask for!

Dear Chantilly,

Today you are 21 months old! You are the world's best 21 month old, and probably the smartest too! We have to spell words around you, words like cookie, outside, and pool! You talk in sentences, saying things like "I want stickers!" and "I farted!"

-Things you love: your sticker book, the color yellow, your baby, pushing your baby in her stroller, books especially "Russell the Sheep," your purple chair, the pink glasses, swimming, and your buddy, Maddox! I almost forgot chocolate!

-Things you do not love: bees, flies because you think they are bees, your hair in your face, most foods we eat for dinner, and nursery!

You are so much fun! You bring so much happiness into our lives and so much laughter into our home!We love you, Tilly!

We love $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point! So, on Aaron's day off, we went to Farm Country.

Tilly and Maddox pet the 6 week old baby goat! So cute!

Chantilly only watches movies when we are in the car! Thanks to our portable DVD player and the 4 cartoon/Pixar movies we have, movies make for pleasant car rides (not that they weren't pleasant before)! She loves "UP" and "The Nativity Story!" When she wants to watch a movie, she says "poovie!" I love our sweet girl!

Family Fun

After 3 days with Aaron being gone at drill, we were so ready for some daddy time! We went to a nice dinner at Carabbas. For some reason, in the middle of dinner, Tilly had a fit wanting to take off all of her clothes! We took her shirt off but made her keep on her jumper! I think the nude phase is starting! After dinner, we went to a cool park in Orem. Tilly had fun going down the slide over and over and Maddox enjoyed swinging!

Pioneer Day

For Pioneer Day, we headed over to the Lehi Foam Day! They had bands play, food, and little booths to shop. My mom bought Tilly a cute necklace with a little "T" and pink jewel!

The firefighters covered the sports park field in 3 or 4 feet of foam! Kids put their goggles on and dove in, slipping and sliding around!

I walked over to take a look and there were 5 kids crying crying because the foam was stinging their eyes! Thankfully, there was a booth selling goggles for 2 bucks! Tilly was all ready to get in the foam with her goggles! She wasn't particularly happy about wearing them!

She lasted about 1 minute in the "bubbles!"
It was stinking hot, so we headed to our pool and swam the rest of the day!

Maddox is growing up so fast! At 7 1/2 months, he weighs 17.5 lbs! He can sit and has 2 teeth on the bottom of his mouth! And his smiles makes my heart melt!

311 Concert

Aaron, Ashliegh and I went to the 311/Offspring concert at the Usana Amphitheater. Aaron's favorite band is 311! He LOVES them! Of course, he had to get a shirt to remember this most important occasion! Recognize the logo? It's the Utah Jazz! Cool shirt, huh!

It was da bomb and Aaron was rocking out the whole time!
